Jende 12 Micron 1x6 Nanocloth Strop, 5mm Acrylic Mounted

The Jende Nanocloth Ultra bench strops are at the forefront of knife stropping technology! These 1"x6" Nanocloth strops are backed by a 5mm thick, color-coded acrylic piece and mounted on a standard 1x6 steel blank that fits various guided sharpening systems, including Edge Pro, Jende JIGS for Knives, Hapstone, and TSProf.

The color-coded system makes it easy to identify the grit of each strop without the need to constantly flip it over. The grit colors are as follows: 15 Micron (White), 12 Micron (Black), 8 Micron (Lime), 4 Micron (Fuchsia), 2 Micron (Purple), 1 Micron (Blue), 0.5 Micron (Red), 0.25 Micron (Green), 0.10 Micron (Yellow), and 0.025 Micron (Orange). It's important to note that these strops do not come with Jende's Poly Diamond or CBN Emulsions.

The Jende Nanocloth Ultra is a synthetic stropping material with no weave, ensuring consistent feedback in all directions. This is a notable difference from other woven strops, which can exhibit varying resistance, similar to the feeling of vacuuming a rug, potentially causing confusion during the stropping process.

The honeycomb structure of the Nanocloth is highly consistent, allowing the emulsions to fill up the honeycombs and keep more abrasive on the strop's surface rather than on the knife. This honeycomb design also creates a "snow-shoe" effect, leading to even scratches during stropping.

The depth of the honeycomb structure provides little compression, generally less than leather. This depth allows for differential pressure, enabling users to adjust the strop's aggression by applying more or less pressure, allowing for both aggressive and delicate finishing strokes.

The color-coded acrylic base is a practical feature, as it allows users to instantly recognize the grit of the strop they wish to use, saving time and reducing confusion. The laser-etched identification marks ensure long-lasting and clear identification.
