Venev Ursa Series Dual Side Bonded Diamond Stone 1200 + 1500 grit

Venev's Ursa Series Dual Side Diamonds are designed for use with Hapstone and TSProf guided knife sharpeners, as well as for freehand sharpening. These diamond sharpening stones offer excellent performance in sharpening knives of any steel. The Ursa Series features a 16 mm wide dual-sided diamond construction, with two 1 mm-thick diamond-bearing layers on an aluminum plate.

The diamond-bearing plate is composed of evenly distributed diamond grains bonded with resin, a more complex manufacturing process than coated diamonds. Bonded diamonds provide better feedback and a significantly longer lifespan for the sharpening stone. The OCB (Oxide Ceramic Binder) version of Venev Diamonds utilizes a brand-new yellow binder with no abrasive particles, available in fine grits only and offering scratch-free sharpening results.

All Venev diamonds employ the FEPA-F grit classification system. The Ursa Series is available in six different grit combinations, with the F80 to F240 grits utilizing the legacy binder, and the F400 to F1500 grits utilizing the OCB binder. The Ursa Series is exclusively available in a 100% diamond concentration.

The Ursa Series dual-sided diamond sharpening stones are designed to be used with water. They feature a working surface of 150 x 17 mm (6" x 2/3"), with a minimum diamond-bearing layer thickness of 1 mm. This combination of features makes the Ursa Series an excellent choice for sharpening knives on both Hapstone and TSProf guided knife sharpeners, as well as for freehand sharpening.

The 1200 + 1500 grit FEPA-F (2.5 + 1.5 micron) version of the Ursa Series offers a high-performance sharpening solution, with the resin-bonded diamonds and OCB binder providing superior scratch-free sharpening results. This makes the Ursa Series a versatile and reliable choice for knife enthusiasts and professionals alike.
