Jende 0.5 Micron 1x6 Nanocloth Strop (unloaded) - 5mm Acrylic Mounted

Jende Nanocloth Ultra bench strops are at the forefront of knife stropping technology! The 1"x6" Nanocloth strops are backed on a 5mm thick piece of color-coded acrylic and mounted to a standard 1x6 steel blank that fits standard Edge Pro, Jende JIGS for Knives, Hapstone, and TSProf guided sharpeners. Each color matches our Jende Diamond Emulsions for easy reference without the need to constantly flip over the strop to see what grit it is. Grit colors are as follows: 15 Micron (White), 12 Micron (Black), 8 Micron (Lime), 4 Micron (Fuchsia), 2 Micron (Purple), 1 Micron (Blue), 0.5 Micron (Red), 0.25 Micron (Green), 0.10 Micron (Yellow), 0.025 Micron (Orange).

The Jende Nanocloth Ultra is a synthetic stropping material that has no weave, ensuring consistent feedback in all directions. Other woven strops tend to have noticeable resistance change feedback variations, like a rug when vacuuming, which can make you second-guess your stropping stroke. The Honeycomb structure is highly consistent, allowing the emulsions to fill up the honeycombs, keeping more abrasive on the strop and off your knife. The shape also fills up and beads on the surface, giving a snowshoe effect with even scratches when stropping. The depth of the honeycomb has little compression, less than leather in general. Due to the depth of abrasive in the honeycomb tubes, differential pressure can be used to give the strop more or less aggression by adding pressure for more aggression, and super light strokes to just tickle the edge for finish stropping.

The color-coded Acrylic base allows you to instantly recognize the grit strop you desire to use, saving time and confusion. The strops are laser etched to ensure long-lasting and clear identification marks. Please note that these strops do not come with our Poly Diamond or CBN Emulsions, but they work equally well with our Jende Poly Diamond Sprays, Jende Poly Diamond Emulsions, and our Jende CBN Emulsions.
